Pixar Short

I was looking for inspiration for my music video and my narrative and I restumbled across this. This short came out ages ago from Pixar's Youtube account, but I thought I'd post it anyway, for those who haven't seen it. It's really simple, with an awesome story based on the movie Up. Hilarious!

Sharing is Caring

I have alot to share today =)

Kuky se vraci
An interesting upcoming movie that combines live action and puppetry. It looks super interesting. The story is about a teddy bear, called Kooky,  that is thrown away by his six-year-old owner. The bear comes to life in the rubbish dump and makes his way to a mysterious forest, where he meets the forest's guardian.

I did some looking around and found some of the storyboard art for the movie on Facebook.
The pictures are simple. But you can tell what's happening in each of them.

This short film is brilliant! Technically animation...? It does make drawings move.

The Pixar Online Library has some interesting notes on animation. The articulating appeal one is interesting. It explains how Pixar went about creating the rat characters in Ratatouille.

I love looking at the work of these two fantasy artists.

Dan Dos Santos

That should keep you bus for a while, enjoy!

Pixar Genius

Today I discovered some awesome things about Pixar.

1 - That there is a Pixar Canada studio.

2. That both Pixar and Pixar Canada have a jobs page on their websites and they are currently looking for people.

3. The program Pixar uses to render is called Renderman. This program is super cool and can be used with Maya. Which is awesome =)

The images and animations it renders is amazing, especailly when fur is rendered out
The program is used for basically every animation Pixar has done.
