It's starting to look good, Frank + Terry showed us some cool tricks in Premiere. It's at 24fps but the problem is the walk is too fast. Is there a way to slow it down in Premiere? We inserted them as numbered stills. Or do we need to do the photos again and put in more frames?

Any thoughts?

Stop Mo for Reverse Garbage

Thought I would do a blog update again tonight. My computer crashed at the end of last week so I haven't been able to do alot on the computer, but I have managed to borrow my dad's =) What a nice guy he is.

So here are some photos from our green screen attempts for our community project with Reverse Garbage. The project is going pretty well. The experiments we did with the green screen actually worked out pretty well, and the elephant is moving pretty well, and yes I did make him =D Now we are just working on merging the moving elephant with the background photos we took.

Using Premiere didn't work as well as we hoped so we are now trying out a photoshop/flash approach, which works in theory, and actually looks pretty good when we tested it out, the only thing problem is that it is very time consuming as we deleted the background in photoshop for each photo then put them together in flash.

Reverse Garbage Exploration

Today our group went to Reverse Garbage to take some landscape shots for our stop-mo piece. I've almost finished making the character (an elephant) the legs are just pinned on till we figure out how to fully animate his legs. 

We then went back to class and tried manipulating some of the photos, going for a more cartoony, hand-drawn, different look. So here's some of the experiments from today's class.

Paper Creatures

Working around with character ideas for our community project with Reverse Garbage =) We are doing an animation for them and at the moment are deciding on the medium. Flash? Stop-mo? Both?

I quite like the idea of doing a stop motion animation using materials and artwork from their store. I also really want to make some plushies. I have a few ideas for creatures that I can make so I'll give it a go!

Great for art materials! You can get fabric, wood, paper, plastic, computer parts, old bikes and all sorts of bits and bobs.
