I was just watching both walk cycles when I noticed something. The second one is much more convincing as it has the slight perception of weight: solid drawing. (well done!)
The first however floats. There is no real sense of touching down. Maybe play with the down pose a bit? It could be a subtle movement of the body even, stretching and dropping just a smidgen lower just to accent that touching down.
Ah, hope I'm not being too nosy, and i like how that character is being emphasized in your second walk cycle.
