Finished 1st Eap

My finished EAP for Frank =)
It's the girl half of a waltz turn.
I really like how it turned out.
Enjoy!

  1. Music, maestro? It captures the dance move. We could look at slowing down that spin before polishing it in your major project. The render worked well.

  2. Cassieee im critiquing this for Frank :)
Principle: Slow in and slow out.

Loving the hand movement where she is ment to be holding her partners hand. It must've been really tricky to figure that out.

I think you could have used some easing in and out on the turn. Maybe she could have started out fast and slowed down at the end? You also could have made the left arm drop or something when she lets go of the partners shoulder. (I'm just assuming the hand was previously on the partners shoulder)

Looks great though. Can't wait to see the finished product!

  4. ( 3d animation ) awesome :) good to see.

The key poses look great aswell as a very subtle left arm reajustment as the character turns so she can keep her balance. It looks quite lifelike.

A little easing could have gone a fair way for the legs and feet during the turn however thats only a very minor thing. One other minor thing is her spine. During the turn it could be exadurated slightly arching backwards this would help convey the headturn more and make it look a little more fluid.

i know your doing your end of year in 2d but you seem to have goten the handle of 3d in an extreamly short amount of time. keep up the good work loking forward to seeing more ( hopefully a little more 3d ) from you :D

  5. Thanks for all the critiques!

This sequence is really for two people dancing. But cos I'm doing 2D I didn't put the double effort into doing 2 characters together in 3D.

But, in hindsight, it probably would have been better to do the 2 characters so the EAP could work better.

    Thanks again!
